What is CORE? A cohort based program to provide UC Merced scholars with opportunities to explore a variety of career fields (with an emphasis on student affairs) and the ability to engage in undergraduate research projects. CORE is designed specifically for the future demographics of higher education (low income students, first generation students, students of color, and those specialized student populations that remain in the margins of higher education). The CORE program seeks to diversify the fields of student affairs & academic affairs by training and providing developmental educational opportunities for UC Merced scholars to become leaders in these fields.
