Thank you for representing UC Merced at this potentially life-changing event. I will send you updates and reminders as the date approaches, but here are the main things to know:
1. We roll at 6:00 a.m. exactly. Please have a plan for how to get to the Lake Lot on campus in time for the departure. If you need a ride to campus, please let me (Elizabeth Boretz) know, and I'll try to ride-match you with another participant, or maybe I can pick you up myself.
2. Dress professionally. You do not need to buy a new outfit for this event, but just remember, no sweatshirts, no flip-flops or sneakers, for men -- shirts with collars and dress pants will suffice, for women -- use care not to have low necklines or extra short skirts. Wear what you might wear to an important job interview.
3. All expenses are paid, except for dinner. You may bring snacks with you, I will provide some snacks on the bus, and we will pull off the road on the way home for optional purchase of fast food.
